Geographical location 

Goud-e-Kolvari 2 copper mine has an exploitation license. This mine with an area of ​​29.21 Km2 is located in the southeast of Dehaj and northwest of Javazm, located in Kerman province and adjacent to Dehaj Javazm city. This area is accessible from the two routes of Kerman-Anar- Javazm and Yazd-Dehaj- Javazm to the provincial centers of Yazd and Kerman. And in the geological maps of scale 1: 100000 Dehaj and Anar and in the topographic map of Anar scale 1: 250,000.

The heap leaching plant planned for copper oxide ores and designed. after determining discontinuities due to modeling of highwall’s slopes and access ramps, an open pit model was created based on the grade estimated model. According to this mentioned model a grid of a blast holes planned and drill cutting powders are sample an analyzed for distinguish the boundary of ore and tailing bulk. Those blast hole sets were exploded. So, the loading and transportation procedure are accomplished to crush for entering the heap leaching process.

 

Geology

Country Rock:

In this area, the main porphyry process has occurred (granodiorite) on the surface is associated with the mineralization of copper oxide and granodiorite and quartz diorite in large part with the leach zone. Which can be seen due to powder excavations at a depth of about 15 to 20 meters, sulfur zone (supergene).

Between eosin to quaternary

– Structural geology:

This region is located structurally, in the central part of Iran and in the magmatic arc of Urmia – Dokhtar and in the Dehaj – Sardooeyeh block

Alteration:

It can be seen that Potassic, phyllic and argillic alterations with copper oxidized mineralization (outcrop) in this range.

Mineralization characteristics:

There are two types of vein mineralization and porphyry. Oxide ores include malachite, azurite, and neocytes in the form of surface fillers and streaks.

Vision

According to the exploration and drilling development plans, about 16,000 m of drilling has been carried out in A Block, and exploration operations are continuing in this block and other blocks.

 

 

 

 

Exploratory activities

 

According to the studies and results in this area, 6 blocks had anomalies were defined for exploratory operations, which were selected according to the vastness and importance of anomaly, block A and divided into three parts A0, A1, A2.

Due to the size and importance of the anomaly in A block, this block was divided into three parts A0, A1, A2 to F. By drilling boreholes and sampling, a copper grade reserve of 0.27% was estimated.

 

In 2016, in the initial supplementary exploration phase in two sections A1 and A2, by digging boreholes, the total reserve of A block increased.
